Chicago can get pretty cold in the winter. They call it the Windy City. The nickname actually does not refer to the weather or the wind. It refers to Chicago’s notoriously corrupt political past. But you’d swear the nickname came from the chilly breeze you feel in the winter time. It literally chills you to the bone. All this cold can usually deter people from going out and having a good time with their friends; it can stop people from hitting the bar scene after an event at the arena.
