Come Out Of The Cold And Into The Ogden

Chicago can get pretty cold in the winter. They call it the Windy City. The nickname actually does not refer to the weather or the wind. It refers to Chicago’s notoriously corrupt political past. But you’d swear the nickname came from the chilly breeze you feel in the winter time. It literally chills you to the bone. You can see your breath, your nose gets red and the sniffles start immediately when you step outside.

That’s why it’s a bummer that the United Center goes off in the winter. Of course, you’ve got the Bulls and the Blackhawks, concerts and conventions. There’s so much going on inside that West Loop arena that you’ll inevitably find yourself there this winter. And you’ll inevitably have to leave that building the in deep, dark cold of a winter night.

All this cold can usually deter people from going out and having a good time with their friends; it can stop people from hitting the bar scene after an event at the arena. But you should think twice before you call it a night because of the cold. The Ogden sits just a short walk from the United Center. And we promise that it is nice and warm in here.

The Ogden is the closest bar to the United Center, and we serve the kind of food that warms you from the inside. All you have to do is brave the cold for just a second; the same amount of time it would take to flag a cab, and then you’re in the warmth of The Ogden. You can warm up in the presence of like-minded people flowing out of the arena. Grab a drink, get some hot food and meet new friends from all over the area. See? It was worth the short, chilly walk after all.
